About Us

Kingston Osteopathy is based in Kingston-Upon-Thames at a private clinic in North Kingston, KT2 5TG. Kate also practises at Kingston Physiotherapy on Kings Rd in Kingston.

Kingston Osteopathy was founded by Kate Williamson in 2013, although she has been practising as an osteopath since 2007. Her treatment clinic is via a private entrance that is safe and secure, and she has always maintained a strict hygiene practice, which has been heightened given the latest pandemic. Please contact Kate for further information on her COVID-19 risk assessment policy.

Kate uses a variety of techniques to help her patients, including structural, functional and cranial osteopathy, and encourages patients to take control by providing tools such as stretches and exercises to regain their normal function.

ABOUT KATE

Kate Williamson trained at the British School of Osteopathy and has worked at a number of clinics in London and the South East, treating a great variety of injuries, including back pain, shoulder/neck pain, headaches and other musculoskeletal issues.

Kate works with patients of all ages from babies to older patients, with a particular interest in long term pain. She uses a gentle approach, and works with the patient to help understand why symptoms may have arisen and to improve function and regain wellbeing.

She was drawn to osteopathy after an injury, and it was not until an osteopath explained the mechanics of what had happened that she was able to understand what her body had gone through, that she was finally able to recover. After five years of Osteopathic training and over 14 years of work in various clinics she is now passing on this inspiration to others.

Kate particularly enjoys working with pre and post natal women and babies, especially after having three children of her own. She is a keen runner and swimmer, so is very aware of the demands we put on our bodies – and as a result she's a big fan of the strengthening benefits of Pilates too.

"I first went to see Kate as I was desperate to alleviate the severe tension headaches that I have suffered from for a number of years, without having to constantly rely on medication. This was my first experience of osteopathy and Kate made me feel very at ease and explained exactly what she was going to do.

I was amazed by how quickly I felt the positive effects and after 4 or 5 sessions, I could feel a huge improvement.  Going forward, Kate gave me a number of exercises and suggestions on how to keep the headaches at bay, which have really helped too.

Kate is brilliant at what she does and I would not hesitate to recommend her.  I will certainly continue to call on her as and when I need a top up."
